Product Review ♥ Rimmel BB Cream

Hi loves,

So lately I have been using the Rimmel London BB Radiance cream Beaty Balm a lot. During the summer I like to opt for something light like a BB cream rather than a foundation because it is so much lighter and doesn't get greasy as quick. Because I have used this so many times, I feel confident enough for a review!
The BB cream promises to do 9 things: priming, smoothing, concealing, helping minimise the appearance of pores, providing natural looking coverage, moisturising for 24 hours, awakening tired skin, brightning the skin with vitamin C complex and lastly it promises to give a radiant finish and it has a spf of 20.

First of all I really like the colour. Now this is very different for everyone but the colour ''light'' matches my skin perfectly. It doesn't have this weird orange colour and looks very natural, which I really like.

Next I like the consistency in overall. It gets on the skin very smoothly and rarely looks cakey or weird. I had one time however, when my skin was pretty dry that the cream didn't apply very smoothly. You could see I had it on and it just wasn't a pretty sight. So do make sure you don't have a very dry skin!

What I was really impressed with was the coverage from the sun. I put one coat of BB cream on in the morning and went wakeboarding later that day. It was very Sunny without clouds and when I removed my make-up there was no redness whatsoever. I have a light skin, so this was really awesome.

Generally, I really like the product. The packaging is nice and the formula is very neat. I would recommend this to anyone that isn't yet ready for a full face of make-up, yet wants a good coverage or the people like me who don't want an entire layer of foundation during the hot days of summer.

Take care loves!

Back to School ♥ Tips and tricks

Hi loves,

I am so sorry for not posting in the last 6 weeks. I did not have internet that allowed me to post on my blog, so I hope you're not too mad at me for not doing so.

Anyways, Back to School is right around the corner and some of you might already have had their first day of school. I hope these tips are not too late for you guys, and you still benefit from them!

The first thing you should try is to be open to anything. Especially when you are in a new class, being open and honest is the most important thing to make friends. Do NOT act different than you normally would, as this might give you some friends you will be very unhappy with. Please try to walk up to a new person and just ask them whether they know anyone and ask them how they are feeling. In a new class, there are no group dynamics yet so you have all the power in you to make friends without trouble. Also be open to anyone coming to you as they might've waited a long time and have been very anxious to come up to you.

The next thing is to listen to your teachers and make your homework as well as you can during the first weeks of school (and try to to it the entire year). This way teachers won't be as harsh on you if you forget your homework later in the year, and they will help you when you do not understand something. It might not be your favourite thing to do, but it will be a great benefit. Do remember however to be genuine. Don't fake being nice, mean it from the bottom of your heart. Teachers are not stupid, and even though we might forget: they are humans as well.

Lastly, Study! I know it is very, very hard but please study the easy stuff as well. You will need it later on and if you don't know it yet stuff will become very hard and hectic. At the beginning of the year there are not as many projects as later on so make it a habit to study ev-e-ry-thing!

Have fun in the new school year! I will be posting throughout the year to make your life a little better, so I'll talk to you soon!

xoxo

Things to do to be happy ♥

Hi loves,

I'm sorry I haven't written as much I wanted to, but I had tests for a week straight which took all of my time and energy.

Now: HOLIDAYS! Which means: Summer! (Or winter if you're in Australia)

In the frame of summer I have some things for you to do which make you feel happy every single day. All of this is free and will only cost you little time as you probably want to do fun stuff during summer ;)

1. Walk barefoot
This might be one of the most satisfying things on the planet, especially on the beach or on the grass. Just flop off your shoes and: instant happiness!

2. Give a compliment
This one is especially helpful to give someone else a very good day, and it will make you feel good too, I promise. Just giving the compliment and seeing the happiness people get from something you said is awesome. Do note: be genuine.

3. Try mindfulness
Mindfulness might not be the first thing on your mind but just try to focus on your breath for 5 minutes every morning. Sit down and just focus on your feelings. It has proven to reduce anxiety and raise your self-esteem tremendously, so give it a go. ♥

4. Drink lots of water
This one is good for everything, and you might have heard it 10000x already. It makes you healthy, reduces acne and spots, helps with weightloss, reduces anxiety and stress and prevents dehydration with all its health risks! Because your body is cared for and you are healthy you will feel very good :).

5. Don't Judge yourself
This is the hardest tip but give it a go! Try not to look into the mirror at all, other than if you need to to put on your make-up and do your hair. (or try to live without make-up, cannot do much harm either ;))

Other than these tips, just do what makes you happy! You don't have to follow any of them, but just be encouraged to be happy and feel good about yourself. That'll make life so much better and your summer will be the best one ever!

Good luck!

Making money during the Summer ♥

Hi loves,

We of course all like to make money. Either to buy that one thing you really want, to go out with friends or just to save up for later. Money always comes in handy. But how can you make money in a nice way, without working all day long for almost nothing?

1. Use your talents
Everyone has a talent, and a few of these might come in very handy. Maybe you are really good at making hairbows, drawing or other crafting? Set up an Etsy shop and sell your creations! Be sure to make them affordable, this way people will purchase more and you will have something to do.
But if you're not as handy with your hands you can earn money with your other talents. If you are really good at soccer, go find a little kid you can teach for a little bit of money. You'll be busy with what you love and they will become better!
And if you are not really good at sports or crafts, you can always go out to sell lemonade or wash cars :).

2. Use what you already have, such as animals
Little kids love animals and their parents love seing their children busy with animals. If you have a small horse, give little lessons on it or organise children's party's. During summer a lot of children will celebrate their birthdays so that's where you can step in, earn money and have a good time. But please do not go out and buy a horse just for earning money, they need their time and attention. ♥

3. Babysit
During summer babysitters are a need. Parents are going to like having a day off together so just hang an advertisement at your local stores or spread flyers. Within no time you will have an adress you can babysit! Again, don't only babysit for the money. You need to have a good time with the children or you will be in trouble.

I hope these tips will make you have more fun during summer and make you earn money at the same time!
Please don't give up, you can always go to a local store and apply for a job there.

Film review - American Sniper

Hi loves,

So recently I have gone out to see the film American Sniper. (It is age limited >16, just so you know.)
I thought it was an extremely good film. It basically explains the life of the most lethal sniper that every existed in US history: Chris Kyle.
The film shows how he applies and goes through the training, and about his struggle with being in the army. It is not the ones he shot that make him sad, it's the ones from his own team he couldn't safe. The graphics and film making seems so close to real it is like you are in a war yourself. It is so emotional and graphical that all you can do is sit back and watch. It is an amazing film, and it is long ago that I have seen such a good film.
Now please note: Do not watch the film if you are under 16. The age limit is there for a reason, trust me. Even though you might be: ''I am not scared of scary films.'' This film is not scary, it is just a very emotionally heavy topic.
But if you are above 16 years old, please consider going there! It is not a very scary film like a horrorstory or anything, it is just reality. And that makes it so beautiful.

Bookreview : Girl Online by Zoe Sugg ♥

Hi loves,

Of course we all know who Zoe (Zoella) is, don't we? And of course we all know she wrote a book... It came out in oktober if I'm correct and it is called Girl Online.

I read the book a little while ago now, and I thought I'd share my opinion about it!
First of all, the names of the characters are really renewing and fresh. You don't often hear about a Penny or an Elliott in books, which I thought was really nice.
Also, the book is written in a very easy way so reading it is very easy and you go through it very fast. The topic about the book is however not as light-hearted. It is about how Penny overcomes her panic attacks with an entire romantic story about it. I wasn't very keen on the love story, but the plot twist in the end was really unexpected. Also, the ideas in the love story were very sweet but I will not make any spoilers here as that's mean.
I also loved how the book has a hard cover. These days most books are paperbacks, which I don't find very nice to read. I love to ''hold'' a book, which this book made capable because of the big, strong, hard cover!
And I know you shouldn't Judge a book by its cover, but hey, the cover is gorgeous with its fairy lights and instagram pictures!
There's only one advise I can give you: Run to the stores and buy it! You won't regret it. (Maybe your schoolwork or sleep will, but it's summer!)

Teamworking Tips ♥

Hi Loves,

We all know the feeling of doing group work. At one side you like it, but at the other side you hate it as you always know there is one person that will not do anything and lift on the group's efforts. This can be quite annoying and dissatisfying as you are trying to do your best, so here are some tips on making your work run smoothly:

1. Talk.
This might be the most important part of all: talk with your teammates. Talk about the divisions face to face. On whatsapp it might just get lost or misinterpretated so get together and divide the work. Also, talk if you can't meet a deadline. Everyone wants to hand in good work so tell the others if you can't manage! They'll be happier to help you out than to see you hand in half of what you should've done or a very bad piece.
Don't keep your talking to discussing though! Praise eachother for doing their work and keep each other motivated ;).

2. Division of tasks
If you already know 1 person is not going to do his best, discuss it with the teacher before you start. This way he/she will know about the situation and motivate the person to do what they're supposed to. Also, give the person a job to do but don't make it a very important part. If he/she fails to meet the expectations you won't have a big problem changing it.

3. Deadlines
It might work to make a deadline with your group before you have to hand in your final project in class. This way, you as a group still have some time to finish mistakes and to check if all the work is nicely done and correct. Your stresslevels will go down immensely as you will be finished while all the other groups are working very hard at the day before. It gives an immense feeling of satisfaction (trust me). Yet, be sure all the members meet the deadlines! Otherwise of course it does not make sense.

4. Trust with care
Of course you should trust your teammates at all times, but do trust with care. The people of which you least expected it might come out the worst. Check in on all the work together and discuss the progress that has been made. This way you all know what is going on, and you won't get surprised by some poorly done work.

5. Have fun, you're not going to die
Lastly, remember to have fun! A group project should not only be boring. Work on your teambuilding by having dinner at someone's house while discussing the project. Do some fun things! You might make some new friends, and maybe that one person that wasn't going to do something will be motivated by it!

Good luck with your final projects!

Studying tips + How to get through the last schoolweeks ♥

Hi Loves,

Now a few of you guys have already entered their summer breaks but I know a lot of you are still in school for the last few weeks. These weeks are usually completely stuffed with tests, essays and examinations so here are some tips to get through your last weeks of school!

First of all, try to relax as well as study. Studying will not work if you do not give yourself a break every now and then. It might seem to you like you are wasting time, but you are not. You deserve some time to relax as well, you don't Always have to study so hard. ♥ Try studying for 20 minutes, 10 minutes break for 5 times and then a break of half an hour - 1 hour and you'll notice you're much better off.

Second, clean up your room. I know, I know. This is not fun to do at all, but just make yourself. It will keep your workingspace clear and empty so all you have in your surroundings are your schoolbooks and your to-dolists. This makes you procrastinate a lot less and you won't get distracted by everything laying around.

Make colourful notes! Colourful notes might take a little more time to make, but they stick in your mind so much better. Just try to make it look nice and put some nice drawings in their. I just made a Chemistry summary consisting little trucks and all other kinds of weird drawings that made me understand it way better. Don't just doodle, make it worth it. Doodles will only distract you even more.

Have some drinks or food nearby, just have some healthy things. I love taking sips lemon/limewater with icecubs when I'm studying and I Always have some frozen fruits but it is completely up to you. don't take anything with a high Sugar/salt/cafe├»ne level because that will only slow down your learning. You want to be relaxing ASAP, so eat the nice candy afterwards! ♥

These were my tips, good luck with all the tests you still have to make guys!

What do you when you're sick at home ♥

Hi loves,

So today I have been sick, so I stayed home. Everytime I am sick home I am home alone so I have no one to talk to or to have ''fun'' with. It makes me get very bored, because all I can really do is watch tv, read books and sleep. So here I have some tips for you that will hopefully get you through your illness a bit better :)

1. Write a book.
Grab you laptop and simply start writing. You might never want to publish it, but just the time you put in there can be great fun and is simply enough on its own. And hey, if you publish it and it becomes a hit: How cool would it be to say: I wrote this when I was sick. ♥

2. Make a video with old pictures
Again grab your laptop, and just make a simple video with all the pictures you took that last holiday. Be creative and have fun with it! It just needs to be a nice replacement of the standard ''holiday picture book''. Put some nice music at the background and make it all to your likings. This should take you some time ;)

3. Draw
Maybe you have never taken time for it, or have never even considered it: But make a drawing. There are numerous how-to draw videos on the internet, about all drawings you would ever want to make. Don't hold back try!

4. Organise your room
If you feel like moving around a bit, you might try organising your room. It makes your room look great and it makes you feel like you have achieved something. When I am ill I know I Always feel useless, so I Always do this as I never have time to do it during the week when I am active.

5. Make your own ''What to do when you're sick-list''
Trust me, when doing this you come up with many things to do! + You can help other people in your position which is Always fun!

Review: Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Hi loves,

I promised you a review about this concealer, so here you go!

This review will be about the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer for the ones who hadn't seen yet. Mine was bought in the Boots next to Covent Garden in London, so go there if you live near it and you don't know where else to buy it ;). It was something like 4 pounds / 8 dollars which I do not think is a lot, and mine is in the shade 1- fair.

The concealer has a lipgloss-brush applicator which feels really soft and is really nice to use. I would definitely recommend using it as you don't have to put it over your hand so your hand will stay clean for your foundation. I would however not recommend it if you have any acne, because it would only be spread that way.

I was very excited to try this product and it definitely was well-worth it. It is very easy to blend in and doesn't smooch throughout the day at all. I feels nice and creamy and very light, so it doesn't feel like you are wearing full-coverage even though you are, which is a really enjoyable feeling I think.

The only thing I don't like so much is the way you can easily see it when you put on a little bit too much. Once there's too much on your skin it will show up very gross and oily, so beware of that. But if you are just very careful and you don't put it on in a completely hurry without a mirror while trying to do your mascara and put your shoes on, it shows great!

I hope you give this one a go as it is my very favourite concealer I have tried so far.

Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation ♥

Hi Loves,

Something that was very high on my to-do list was a review about the Rimmel wake me up foundation. I heard so many great things about it, so I decided to give it a go and buy it.

I purchased mine in Boots for something like 10 pounds but I don't remember so well anymore and I didn't keep the receipt... Sorry!

My shade is 010 - light porcelain, which is very, very light but I am just pale in winters. Luckily, this shade will soon be too light for me :).

What I love firstly about the foundation is its Packaging. I know you shouldn't Judge a book by its cover, but this packaging just looks really fresh and appealing. It is made from glass and you can see the foundation, so you exactly know which colour you are buying and it doesn't turn out like a wintercarrotcolour once you are home.
When I tried it, I first was a bit saddened by its coverage. It did not cover all my spots, but hey, that's where concealer comes in! (I used the collection concealer, a review about that one will go up soon I promise ♥.) It blends very, very well with my concealer so that was a huge plus for me. I hate it when they don't blend in, because I feel like a make up pancake the entire day. You know that feeling? Let me down in the comments.

I also really liked how long it lasted. It definetely lasted the entire day for me, and I only had to retouch my concealer a bit but it was very minimal.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money and you're looking for a drugstore foundation I would definitely recommend this one to you! It feels really light on your skin and has an spf of 15, which is very nice as well.

Please give this foundation a go, it will be completely worth it.

Book Review: The sun hasn't fallen from the sky by Alison Gangel

Hi loves,

So today I felt like writing a bookreview for you as I haven't done one in a long time and I have just finished the best book I ever read.

The book I wanted to talk to you about is the sun hasn't fallen from the sky. It is about a girl who gets placed into fostercare in Scotland. She has a horrible time there, but gets through the time by playing the piano.
Now I know this sounds rather boring, but it is so beautifully written that it makes you think about your life and how grateful you should be for everything you have. You can imagine the girl's thinking which I think is very good, and there are so many plot twists that it stays fun to read.

Please give this book a try, even though it is partly written in Scottish.. It is amazing.

Summer Hacks and more ♥

Hi Loves,

It is nearly summer and we're all in our lasts weeks of school (or maybe you are already off..)
To prepare you guys the very best I found you some life hacks you shouldn't live without:

1. When you're at the beach you're always at risks of having your Phone stolen, which is not a nice thing at all. All you have to do is cut off the top half of an empty shampoo bottle and put your belongings in there, once they're in, close it again and no one will know where your Phone or purse is. + there won't be sand in them as they are sealed away.

2. When it is very hot we all enjoy popsiscles, but as it is hot outside they melt very fast. To prevent the sticky stuff to drip on you, put your popsicle in a small cupcake holder! Voila, problem fixed.

3. In summer lots of us also like to barbecue. The problem is only that the entire table is filled up with things you want to eat. Try putting them in cupcake baking tins instead of separate bowls. This saves lots of room and looks very neat!

4. If you live in an area where there are lots of musquitos or you are always the one that gets stung by them, try taking vitamin B complex. It is healthy for you and musquitos don't like the smell of it. Happily, we do not smell a difference.

5. This one is very general but so many of us tend to forget it, but put sunblock on yourself every 3-4 hours to prevent yourself from burning.Yes, we all like to tan but it is better to turn brown a bit more slowly than to look like a lobster at the end of the day.

Enjoy these last few weeks of school everyone!

Bath and Bodyworks Hand Sanitizer Rio Samba Sunset

Hi Loves,

Since I haven't posted anything yesterday, I decided it'd be fair to post 2 posts today. As you seemed to like the bath and bodyworks review, I have another one for you!

This one is about the Rio Samba Sunset smell which I recently bought and I am enjoying it so much now.

It is a very tropical scent which I really, really enjoy. It gives you the feeling of summer right when you get the cap of the packaging. I bought it for $1,75 and it contains 1 fl oz / 29 ml. I think this is a very fair price for this product as it works so well.
The hand sanitizer leaves your hands feel very clean and fresh, so it definetely does its job. I really enjoy using it, and I'll have to buy a new one very soon as it is running out so quickly.
The only negative thing I can say about it, is that the smell is very present. You cannot miss it, and you'll smell it from a distance of 10m, which is not bad as long as you like the smell but I had some people in my class complaining about it as they didn't like it.
Overal I really enjoy this product and I defenitely recommend it to all of you guys!

DIY: How to feel beautiful and accepted ♥

Hi Loves,

So recently there have been so many posts about people feeling like they don't belong and they aren't pretty that I have decided to act upon it.

Therefore I present you my very own DIY to feel beautiful. It costs 0.0$ and it will leave you with the best feeling you ever had.

The first thing you'll have to do is let go of all your ideas concerning beauty, but instead opt for health and care. It is so important to care for your body as you'll have to use it for 75+ more years and you cannot trade it. Don't try to hide it because that other girl is skinnier, no! You don't have to hide, nor do you have to show your body. As long as you can accept it as it is, it will bring you so much happiness. Are you skinny? Nice! Are you chubby? Nice! Are you ''normal''? Nice! As long as you are healthy it is all that matters. Health is for a part in your own hands so you need to cherish it as much as you can.

The next thing is: Stop judging. The way so many of us feel they don't belong is because we are being judged or at least we think we are, yet we go on to Judge another girl. Girls! Wake up! If you stop judging others, you feel so much more beautiful from the inside as you don't cherish wrath or have negative feelings. If you stop judging others, you'll notice how easy you'll stop judging yourself. No one should feel judged, not even you.

The last thing is that you should treat yourself with respect. Don't think you're not allowed to live, it is not that way. If anyone tells you you're a failure, turn your back to them because you do belong. If they talk behind your back, let them talk. That's where they belong: Behind you. You are worth more than them. The next time they talk all you have to do is rock it. Be even better than you was before, let the bad things they say about you build you stronger. And if it does hurt you: don't feel ashamed to cry. Everyone needs to cry sometimes. Give yourself some time: take a bath, pamper yourself.

You are worth every single bit of happiness ♥
So go on and love yourself, smile because you are you and no one can say that. ♥

Review: Bath & BodyWorks: Maui Fragrance Mist

Hi loves,

So recently I have been absolutely loving the Maui Mango Surf Fine Fragrance Mist by Bath and BodyWorks. (That's a mouthful to pronounce AND to type..)

I bought mine in the store in Tampa and it was $14,- for 8 fl oz /236 Ml. I think this is very cheap for such a fragrance, as they are usually way more expensive.

The smell is very summery: It is sweet, yet fresh and it has a very clean scent. (I'm horrible at describing scents.) You do use a bit more of the fragrance mist than of perfume, but because it is a big bottle that does not really make a difference in how long you can use it.

What I really like about the mist is that it stays on you for the entire day until you take a shower or do some heavy excersise in which you sweat a lot, so it is lasting very long. I also love how it doesn't leave this cloud of perfume when I walk by, but it is just this hint of a nice smell. Personally I hate it when people smell really intense, but it is whatever you prefer.

I really, really, really enjoy using this product and I recommend it to everyone. It is a complete bargain for what you get out of the bottle and there's nothing bad to say about it. Please consider taking a look at it at the store, it will be the best decision ever ;).

See you tomorrow,
xoxo,
Malin

You're beautiful

Hi Loves,

Summer is right around the corner and all over social media and the internet are websites with diets so you'll have that ''perfect summer body''. There is nothing wrong with eating healthy but don't get me wrong; these websites are usually not very healthy for your body although they do seem like that. Eating too healthy can be unhealthy as well!
All I want you to know is that you are perfect and do not have to change your body to be in a bikini/swimsuit. You do not need the thigh gap for shorts, you don't need the skinny waist for summer dresses, and you certainly do not have to be skinny to rock your new summer outfit. As long as you keep smiling, you are beautiful. A smile is the best make-up you can wear so never, ever lose it.

Take care!
xoxo

Healthy Homemade Smoothie

Hi Loves,

I have promised you guys a lot of things and I've already given you a DIY yesterday. Therefore, I thought it'd be fun to give you a very easy, healthy recipe today: Homemade Smoothie with orange, apple and pear. I know it is very basic, but it is one of my favourite smoothies to make as it is so sweet yet very refreshing. Summer is right around the corner now and at least I cannot wait so let's hop into it:

For the smoothie (2 glasses: sharing it is way more fun ;)) you'll need:
- 2 small aplles
- 2 pears
- 2 big oranges
- Juice (optional): I took orange-mango juice, but you can take any fruit based juice you like :)
- 2 glasses
- blender/mixer
- Knife
- Cutting board

The steps are very easy:
- Cut all your fruits up and throw them in the blender!
- Because there are so many ''juiceless'' fruits in there, you might want to throw some of your juice in. Don't put in too much or you'll ruin all your work. Just keep it a little bit, just so drinking it will be a bit easier!
- Serve to your family/friends!

I hope you like it!
See you tomorrow, xox,
Malin

DIY - 3D paper Bows

Hi everyone,

Is your room boring and have you spent all your money? Well don't worry, I have the perfect DIY for you. As you might know I am a huge bow-lover and I like to cover my room (and hair) in bows. You'll only need around 2 dollars and a craft store to buy your supplies. I bought my chevron scrapbook paper in a local craftstore, but I am sure you'll find many prints in hobby lobby, staples or even walmart.

What you'll need:
- Paper in any kind of colour or pattern that you like or that matches your room.
- A ribbon or thin piece of rope to put the bows on in the end.
- A glue gun. (Any other kind of sticky material e.g. normal glue and sticky tape will also work, but is not as steady/pretty.
- Scissors to cut your paper with.
And that's it!
- Pencil (or not)

What you need to do is:
1. Cut out the shapes in the picture, by folding a paper in half and drawing half of the shape on there, when you cut it out you will have a symmetrical shape.

2. Cut apart the two ''bow-ends'' by making a little triangle at the point they meet.

3. bend the paper of the main part of the bow to the outside and secure the ends.

4. Add the ''bow-ends''.

Voila, you have a beautiful bow that is very easy to make and can be put anywhere in your room. I put them on a small piece of rope and hung them all across, but just find out what works best for you!
Have fun!

xoxo,
Malin

Quote

Hi everyone, I came along this quote yesterday and thought it would be appropriate to share with you guys.

''Keep on keeping on.''

If you are struggling with anything, please hang on because in the end you will get there. It is just a matter of time. Wait some time, then try again but never ever give up!
