Review: Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Hi loves,

I promised you a review about this concealer, so here you go!

This review will be about the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer for the ones who hadn't seen yet. Mine was bought in the Boots next to Covent Garden in London, so go there if you live near it and you don't know where else to buy it ;). It was something like 4 pounds / 8 dollars which I do not think is a lot, and mine is in the shade 1- fair.

The concealer has a lipgloss-brush applicator which feels really soft and is really nice to use. I would definitely recommend using it as you don't have to put it over your hand so your hand will stay clean for your foundation. I would however not recommend it if you have any acne, because it would only be spread that way.

I was very excited to try this product and it definitely was well-worth it. It is very easy to blend in and doesn't smooch throughout the day at all. I feels nice and creamy and very light, so it doesn't feel like you are wearing full-coverage even though you are, which is a really enjoyable feeling I think.

The only thing I don't like so much is the way you can easily see it when you put on a little bit too much. Once there's too much on your skin it will show up very gross and oily, so beware of that. But if you are just very careful and you don't put it on in a completely hurry without a mirror while trying to do your mascara and put your shoes on, it shows great!

I hope you give this one a go as it is my very favourite concealer I have tried so far.

Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation ♥

Hi Loves,

Something that was very high on my to-do list was a review about the Rimmel wake me up foundation. I heard so many great things about it, so I decided to give it a go and buy it.

I purchased mine in Boots for something like 10 pounds but I don't remember so well anymore and I didn't keep the receipt... Sorry!

My shade is 010 - light porcelain, which is very, very light but I am just pale in winters. Luckily, this shade will soon be too light for me :).

What I love firstly about the foundation is its Packaging. I know you shouldn't Judge a book by its cover, but this packaging just looks really fresh and appealing. It is made from glass and you can see the foundation, so you exactly know which colour you are buying and it doesn't turn out like a wintercarrotcolour once you are home.
When I tried it, I first was a bit saddened by its coverage. It did not cover all my spots, but hey, that's where concealer comes in! (I used the collection concealer, a review about that one will go up soon I promise ♥.) It blends very, very well with my concealer so that was a huge plus for me. I hate it when they don't blend in, because I feel like a make up pancake the entire day. You know that feeling? Let me down in the comments.

I also really liked how long it lasted. It definetely lasted the entire day for me, and I only had to retouch my concealer a bit but it was very minimal.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money and you're looking for a drugstore foundation I would definitely recommend this one to you! It feels really light on your skin and has an spf of 15, which is very nice as well.

Please give this foundation a go, it will be completely worth it.

Book Review: The sun hasn't fallen from the sky by Alison Gangel

Hi loves,

So today I felt like writing a bookreview for you as I haven't done one in a long time and I have just finished the best book I ever read.

The book I wanted to talk to you about is the sun hasn't fallen from the sky. It is about a girl who gets placed into fostercare in Scotland. She has a horrible time there, but gets through the time by playing the piano.
Now I know this sounds rather boring, but it is so beautifully written that it makes you think about your life and how grateful you should be for everything you have. You can imagine the girl's thinking which I think is very good, and there are so many plot twists that it stays fun to read.

Please give this book a try, even though it is partly written in Scottish.. It is amazing.

Summer Hacks and more ♥

Hi Loves,

It is nearly summer and we're all in our lasts weeks of school (or maybe you are already off..)
To prepare you guys the very best I found you some life hacks you shouldn't live without:

1. When you're at the beach you're always at risks of having your Phone stolen, which is not a nice thing at all. All you have to do is cut off the top half of an empty shampoo bottle and put your belongings in there, once they're in, close it again and no one will know where your Phone or purse is. + there won't be sand in them as they are sealed away.

2. When it is very hot we all enjoy popsiscles, but as it is hot outside they melt very fast. To prevent the sticky stuff to drip on you, put your popsicle in a small cupcake holder! Voila, problem fixed.

3. In summer lots of us also like to barbecue. The problem is only that the entire table is filled up with things you want to eat. Try putting them in cupcake baking tins instead of separate bowls. This saves lots of room and looks very neat!

4. If you live in an area where there are lots of musquitos or you are always the one that gets stung by them, try taking vitamin B complex. It is healthy for you and musquitos don't like the smell of it. Happily, we do not smell a difference.

5. This one is very general but so many of us tend to forget it, but put sunblock on yourself every 3-4 hours to prevent yourself from burning.Yes, we all like to tan but it is better to turn brown a bit more slowly than to look like a lobster at the end of the day.

Enjoy these last few weeks of school everyone!

Bath and Bodyworks Hand Sanitizer Rio Samba Sunset

Hi Loves,

Since I haven't posted anything yesterday, I decided it'd be fair to post 2 posts today. As you seemed to like the bath and bodyworks review, I have another one for you!

This one is about the Rio Samba Sunset smell which I recently bought and I am enjoying it so much now.

It is a very tropical scent which I really, really enjoy. It gives you the feeling of summer right when you get the cap of the packaging. I bought it for $1,75 and it contains 1 fl oz / 29 ml. I think this is a very fair price for this product as it works so well.
The hand sanitizer leaves your hands feel very clean and fresh, so it definetely does its job. I really enjoy using it, and I'll have to buy a new one very soon as it is running out so quickly.
The only negative thing I can say about it, is that the smell is very present. You cannot miss it, and you'll smell it from a distance of 10m, which is not bad as long as you like the smell but I had some people in my class complaining about it as they didn't like it.
Overal I really enjoy this product and I defenitely recommend it to all of you guys!

DIY: How to feel beautiful and accepted ♥

Hi Loves,

So recently there have been so many posts about people feeling like they don't belong and they aren't pretty that I have decided to act upon it.

Therefore I present you my very own DIY to feel beautiful. It costs 0.0$ and it will leave you with the best feeling you ever had.

The first thing you'll have to do is let go of all your ideas concerning beauty, but instead opt for health and care. It is so important to care for your body as you'll have to use it for 75+ more years and you cannot trade it. Don't try to hide it because that other girl is skinnier, no! You don't have to hide, nor do you have to show your body. As long as you can accept it as it is, it will bring you so much happiness. Are you skinny? Nice! Are you chubby? Nice! Are you ''normal''? Nice! As long as you are healthy it is all that matters. Health is for a part in your own hands so you need to cherish it as much as you can.

The next thing is: Stop judging. The way so many of us feel they don't belong is because we are being judged or at least we think we are, yet we go on to Judge another girl. Girls! Wake up! If you stop judging others, you feel so much more beautiful from the inside as you don't cherish wrath or have negative feelings. If you stop judging others, you'll notice how easy you'll stop judging yourself. No one should feel judged, not even you.

The last thing is that you should treat yourself with respect. Don't think you're not allowed to live, it is not that way. If anyone tells you you're a failure, turn your back to them because you do belong. If they talk behind your back, let them talk. That's where they belong: Behind you. You are worth more than them. The next time they talk all you have to do is rock it. Be even better than you was before, let the bad things they say about you build you stronger. And if it does hurt you: don't feel ashamed to cry. Everyone needs to cry sometimes. Give yourself some time: take a bath, pamper yourself.

You are worth every single bit of happiness ♥
So go on and love yourself, smile because you are you and no one can say that. ♥

Review: Bath & BodyWorks: Maui Fragrance Mist

Hi loves,

So recently I have been absolutely loving the Maui Mango Surf Fine Fragrance Mist by Bath and BodyWorks. (That's a mouthful to pronounce AND to type..)

I bought mine in the store in Tampa and it was $14,- for 8 fl oz /236 Ml. I think this is very cheap for such a fragrance, as they are usually way more expensive.

The smell is very summery: It is sweet, yet fresh and it has a very clean scent. (I'm horrible at describing scents.) You do use a bit more of the fragrance mist than of perfume, but because it is a big bottle that does not really make a difference in how long you can use it.

What I really like about the mist is that it stays on you for the entire day until you take a shower or do some heavy excersise in which you sweat a lot, so it is lasting very long. I also love how it doesn't leave this cloud of perfume when I walk by, but it is just this hint of a nice smell. Personally I hate it when people smell really intense, but it is whatever you prefer.

I really, really, really enjoy using this product and I recommend it to everyone. It is a complete bargain for what you get out of the bottle and there's nothing bad to say about it. Please consider taking a look at it at the store, it will be the best decision ever ;).

See you tomorrow,
xoxo,
Malin

You're beautiful

Hi Loves,

Summer is right around the corner and all over social media and the internet are websites with diets so you'll have that ''perfect summer body''. There is nothing wrong with eating healthy but don't get me wrong; these websites are usually not very healthy for your body although they do seem like that. Eating too healthy can be unhealthy as well!
All I want you to know is that you are perfect and do not have to change your body to be in a bikini/swimsuit. You do not need the thigh gap for shorts, you don't need the skinny waist for summer dresses, and you certainly do not have to be skinny to rock your new summer outfit. As long as you keep smiling, you are beautiful. A smile is the best make-up you can wear so never, ever lose it.

Take care!
xoxo

Healthy Homemade Smoothie

Hi Loves,

I have promised you guys a lot of things and I've already given you a DIY yesterday. Therefore, I thought it'd be fun to give you a very easy, healthy recipe today: Homemade Smoothie with orange, apple and pear. I know it is very basic, but it is one of my favourite smoothies to make as it is so sweet yet very refreshing. Summer is right around the corner now and at least I cannot wait so let's hop into it:

For the smoothie (2 glasses: sharing it is way more fun ;)) you'll need:
- 2 small aplles
- 2 pears
- 2 big oranges
- Juice (optional): I took orange-mango juice, but you can take any fruit based juice you like :)
- 2 glasses
- blender/mixer
- Knife
- Cutting board

The steps are very easy:
- Cut all your fruits up and throw them in the blender!
- Because there are so many ''juiceless'' fruits in there, you might want to throw some of your juice in. Don't put in too much or you'll ruin all your work. Just keep it a little bit, just so drinking it will be a bit easier!
- Serve to your family/friends!

I hope you like it!
See you tomorrow, xox,
Malin

DIY - 3D paper Bows

Hi everyone,

Is your room boring and have you spent all your money? Well don't worry, I have the perfect DIY for you. As you might know I am a huge bow-lover and I like to cover my room (and hair) in bows. You'll only need around 2 dollars and a craft store to buy your supplies. I bought my chevron scrapbook paper in a local craftstore, but I am sure you'll find many prints in hobby lobby, staples or even walmart.

What you'll need:
- Paper in any kind of colour or pattern that you like or that matches your room.
- A ribbon or thin piece of rope to put the bows on in the end.
- A glue gun. (Any other kind of sticky material e.g. normal glue and sticky tape will also work, but is not as steady/pretty.
- Scissors to cut your paper with.
And that's it!
- Pencil (or not)

What you need to do is:
1. Cut out the shapes in the picture, by folding a paper in half and drawing half of the shape on there, when you cut it out you will have a symmetrical shape.

2. Cut apart the two ''bow-ends'' by making a little triangle at the point they meet.

3. bend the paper of the main part of the bow to the outside and secure the ends.

4. Add the ''bow-ends''.

Voila, you have a beautiful bow that is very easy to make and can be put anywhere in your room. I put them on a small piece of rope and hung them all across, but just find out what works best for you!
Have fun!

xoxo,
Malin
